Im alive.......ALIVE!!!!!

Well hello!

No i hadn't fallen off the face of the earth, just simply had a baby and all that stuff that goes along with it. 5 months or something ridiculous like that has passed since i have been on here so i guess i had better update this just in case anyone ever reads this!
So "The Girl" arrived 9th October looking as lovely as can be after a pretty good labour by all accounts. Dad was in attendance as usual to witness another one of his offspring arrive into the world at 1.18am, then the next day she got a visit from her 3 big brothers, plus numerous other lovely people wishing us all the best.

I have met some wonderful people up this way i must admit, people who we just met really stepping up and helping out which made my birth experience so relaxing....just knowing the boys were safe and sound and that Adam could be by my side at a moments notice was something i will be forever grateful for. I don't like mentioning names on here as you may have noticed but these people know who they are and i will be eternally grateful for that help. It also made the fact that my friends from home were not here a bit easier to handle they were fabulous substitutes!

So all that happened, the first born came and went and came back again, the crazies are living up to their nick names and being crazy and Dad is loving working down the shaft...regaling me with fabulous stories every night of new and exciting developments underground and laughing as i try to "talk the talk" of "cages" and "declines" and "inclines'" and "crib" and getting it all wrong! His social life has definitely never looked better with nights out to "The Buffs" and "The Irish" with the boys but he works hard so i let him go.....well 9 times out of 10 i do then i reserve the right as a woman to whinge that he goes out too much but hey I'm allowed!!

Lots more to tell but i will have to leave it for another quiet moment.
Thanks for listening!

Laurie Anderson - O Superman

As i was staring out the window washing up with the crazies circling my legs and crying out for food i suddenly thought "Hi, im not home right now, but if you want to leave a message, just start talking at the sound of the tone......." If only it were that simple......

the cure- 10:15 saturday night

the cure- 10:15 saturday night

saw this today on a music show and was reminded of one of my all time fav Cure songs.... Back in the days before Robert was introduced to Max Factor, this is one of my fav's not only because of the bass riff at the end but if you close your eyes you realise Mr Smith's voice has never really changed from the fresh faced 20 something youth he is here. Plus i love how they are all concentrating SO HARD!!! And the microphones are SQUARE!!!

T minus 15 days.......

Weeeeeeeeeelllllll!!!!

Not long now until the big move....must say im starting to realise now that this time next month i will be ;

A - in a different house
B - in a different city (or at the very least a different town) and
C - in a different STATE!!

Quite what state i will be in is anyone's guess as im already wondering how i will cope ;

A - without the first-born
B - looking after the 2 crazies full time (for a while at least)
C - being pregnant and therefore falling asleep frequently and
D - knowing my beloved is 2km under the earth toiling away for our future

Looks like a night of lists tonight, and seeing as though i hate people today, lets see what sort of list comes from that ;

A - People who cant drive should be driven off the road by people who are much more superior drivers (aka me and Al)
B - Women who think they are superheroes simply because they have had a multiple birth...hello girls? Its simple....there is just more than one so you just do things again until every baby is fed/changed/amused!! It makes me feel like not admitting i have twins when these people are around....every pregnancy is a miracle people, multiple births just do it all at once (theres a bumper sticker somewhere in that logic!)
C - People who cant get out of their comfort zones....lets chat about them shall we? So if someone you loved was going from living, say 2 hours away to living 43 hours away (give or take exaggeration) what would you do? Now this gets tricky cause im going into a sub list here now, follow me please....would you ;

1 - arrange a suitable time before hand to come and spend some quality time with said friend, seeing as though you may not see her for quite some time
2 - arrange a suitable time THEN claim to be "working" and if that is indeed true, come up after work, changing plans slightly but still having the same outcome as in 1..........OR
3 - arrange a suitable time THEN claim to be "working" THEN stress the fact that you have no money(clearly revealing the true cause of the non visit) THEN completely ignore any suggestions to remedy the situation THUS completely NOT visiting said friend??

Back to the comfort zone thing......come on people....friendships have to be worked on, but this has to be said.....was there a friendship to be worked on in the first place with this person or has your humble blogger completely misread someone all over again and been well and truly sucked in? Hey, if i can misread my own family, what hope have i got?

Cheers

and in 39th position we have...........

Hi all/anyone!!

First post, woo hoo and maybe not the last!! This may be a good way to keep everyone up to date with all our family activities as im not good at the group email update that people generally send whether you want to know what is happening in their life or not. You know the ones right? Its not really "i care about you and the other 182 people in my address book equally and know you want to hear all our news" but more a case of "well i care about around 3 or 4 people on this list but in your case i really want you to think i have heaps of loved ones/friends in comparison to your painfully small contacts list"

Anyhoo, the first bit of news officially goes to the First Born who attended his first swmming carnival at Homebush today and had a ripper swim in the 11yrs backstroke winning his heat and nailing 39th spot overall. Well done my son!

Now for some public humiliation, thereby ruining the swimming careers of 38 pre-pubescent boys before the next big race......holy gay rumours Batman!!

The First Born at SOPAC (you have to put it in capitals to officially be a wanker/swimming mum.......... is there a difference?)

ta ta for now......
